Forthcoming Hyundai UK models

Launched in 2016, the all new Hyundai IONIQ demonstrates Hyundai's continued commitment to innovative low emission mobility.

The IONIQ is the first car in the world to offer the choice of hybrid, full electric or plug-in power trains from one body type.

To achieve the Hyundai Motor Group's '2020 Fuel Efficiency Roadmap' targets and increase the efficiency of the lineup by 25 per cent, further development of Hyundai's FCEV line-ups will follow alongside an expansion of the eco-friendly line-up in every segment by 2020. A replacement of 70 per cent of the current engine range is also planned, as is weight reduction of major models by more than 5 per cent on average.

Already implemented in the current Hyundai line-up is a new efficient three-cylinder turbocharged 1.0 T-GDI with two power outputs, which marks the start of a new generation of small, efficient, turbocharged Hyundai petrol engines. A new seven speed dual clutch transmission is now also available, which achieves significant efficiency gains compared to a conventional six-speed automated transmission.
